Stayed there for 4 nights back a 4 years ago inbetween Vegas and San Fran. We loved it, we stayed at the Kahala resort which was about 10 minutes from Wakkaki. Did an island tour and went to Pearl Harbour, lovely people.

The Kahala was probably the nicest Hotel I've stayed in, the pool lead straight into a private beach. You know it's a good one when pierce Brosnon is in the room next door.

Nothing bad to say about Hawaii but it is pricey.
