If we play Ralls, pack and vaulks in midfield we will get hammered. Need pace in the side

Unchanged team. No kids on the bench. Joke.
I will be watching from behind the settee
Mick has previously spoken about picking players to play in their natural positions but, if we're sticking with 3-4-3, then arguably he's not doing that: Nelson, Brown and Flint might all be CB's but their skills aren't varied enough to merit having them all in the side together so without Morrison each belongs in a back 2 rather than a back 3 and Ralls, Pack and Vaulks are far more natural as a middle 3 than Ralls acting further forward.
By the way Mick spoke about the 3-4-3 formation after Barnsley I thought we'd picked it because it brings out our strengths but it's now highlighting our weaknesses instead, due to changed/more fatigued personal, and he's still been set on it so far.
But, to be fair, we don't know from that how they're set-up so maybe it's a 5-3-1-1 (3-5-1-1) instead. Might appear more defensive at kick-off but arguably more suited to current personal.
Things to watch out for:
- formation set-up
- performances of Ralls and Brown (again)
- timing and use of subs
I don't want Mick to play the u23s, but I would like to see Colwill get a good 30 minutes and see a couple of others given a chance off the bench. Colwill has had 3 sub appearances so far. Evans, Patten and Davies have had nothing.
Rotherham may still be fighting for survival when we play them, but Birmingham are surely safe and Wycombe are surely gone. If Mick doesn't give a few younger players a chance then, he never will.
No one is asking for 11 youth players starting but we only have Phillips and Watters (definitely) and Harris (potentially) here next season who can come off and have 15 minutes from the bench. Youth has been forgotten about bar subs on 85 minutes recently no matter who the opposition is.
If we're "respecting the competition" shouldn't we also respect teams in relegation threatened positions? Wycombe, Brum and Rotherham not mathematically relegated or safe yet - all three might be described differently by time we play them - but that currently leaves us with no games to give youth a go in your model.
Home to Wycombe and home to Rotherham are perfect games for youth chances (Brum away has a rubbish pitch) and chasing shadows against one of the best in the league unlikely to offer as much all-round development.
Strange how a team full of senior pros can go to the side who were bottom of the league and get hammered 5-0 (Wednesday’s results since then show they’re nowhere near as good as we made them look ) and yet people don’t want to see youth given a chance in a game which means nothing to us :because they might get embarrassed shrug:
Very odd not to have some even on the bench. He's not going to put on Hoilett so why not add of it them in his place (you just know he's going to put on Hoilett now but you get my point).
Yes strange Colwill has been dropped completely, would have been an opportunity to give him more than 10 minutes to see how he coped
Won’t be disappointed if we lose.
Will be pleased if it’s a win
Will be pissed off if it’s bore draw
How have we managed to employ two separate managers who think Joe Ralls is a number 10?
Those seats colour scheme look a pain in the arse installing. Imagine the poor feckers who had to follow that architects drawing!
Why isn't that a red card?
