And what top is this he has on. A training top I suppose but have we always been sponsored by 888?

Cardiff City Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of central defender Mark McGuinness.
The 20-year-old joins from Arsenal and has agreed a deal until the summer of 2024. He is Mick McCarthy’s second summer signing.
McGuinness is an U21 international for the Republic of Ireland. He spent the 2020/21 season on loan with Ipswich Town in League One, appearing in 25 competitive matches and scoring once.

Seems he was on loan at Ipswich last season, and is quite highly rated.
1.94 m tall
Whoscored rates him as very strong on aerial duels and interceptions and strong at passing.
I had never heard of him before.
Another Irish player - Mick definitely has a type.
Knew I remembered the name from Quest

oof
well they all have a mistake in them at that age, probably 18 there.
We are going to need bodies in this position if we are going to continue with 3 at the back, and I think at least morrisson and flint are out of contract this time next year, so a bit of uncharacteristic forward planning here perhaps.
it'd be interesting to see how fr Ibrahim Bakare is from the first team as well, he looked very good when on trial for the U23s but then completely disappeared.
Never seen him like most but with Flint Morrison and Nelson probably first choice I think Brown and now McGuinness are back up at a good age with hopefully good potential.
Flint will be 32 in a couple of weeks and Morrison is 30, and Nelson 28.
Even with Brown we needed more cover. Hopefully he will really shine and grap a first team place, that will make things potentially simpler next summer when Flint and Morrission will both be out of contract.
For me the one thing that was going to hinder any plans MM has to make City play a bit more football was our inability to make even the simplest pass out from central defence. Hope he's a good enough defender to get a regular start.
Happy with this.
I'm yet to be convinced by Brown.
And we have an aging central defence with Flint and Morrison.
Good pedigree and did well at Ipswich last year.
Nice to see these kinds of signings
888 is a betting site. That's all I can tell
Would be great to have a centre back pairing of McGuinness Flint but I guess they won't still be here when I'm dead and gone.
looking on twitter
Most Arsenal fans seem to be saying he's a good prospect, and were disappointed to be losing him.
Ipswich fans were saying he has obvious potential but still a bit raw and prone to the odd howler.
A couple of them didn't think he was ready for the championship - or that he needs an experienced player alongside him (which I guess we can definitely provide)
Building for the 2022-2023 promotion challenge!!
Good to hear we are looking to strengthen if not necessarily in the area we most need it.
Great to hear he can pass but can he play in midfield?
