I would say that the answer lies in the name.
Maybe New would be easier than Nu.

    So not your traditional left.

I said ignorance not pain, is there a politician or group that characterises the Nu (New) Left so I can see how they differentiate from the Auld (Old) Left?

    Deep Question Man!
    Something like this maybe...

The video is worth watching but if you don’t have time...

1m 20 in is where John Stewart who is undeniably amazing basically shits over Stephen Colbert who is essentially a big ****ing fanny.

Hmmm. Interesting I travelled in NL the other day. Stayed in an hotel. No questions. Freedom of movement throughout the EU, I did have a -ve Test & vaccination certificate but no one asked for it.

    There's no linky.

Are you seriously using John Stewart/Stephen Colbert to explain? If so, best we leave it here, mate.

    I understood Cyril.
As in the term “Nu-left”, “I feel your pain“ could could be construed as “I understand where you are coming from...then providing an example of my empathy with not hearing of the Alt Right at one point.

I could indeed called it ignorance, but where would that get us?

    As for Nu-Left.
    Erm....Momentum?

My apologies, juggling dinner amongst other things etc 😁,

Jon Stewart has a fantastic political mind and To my mind is still relatively woke
I do think you should watch it.
More respectable than Tucker Catldon surely?

You think Momentum are a new manifestation of a Left leaning movement rather than an attempt to realign a party along Bennite lines? Seems there's nothing nu under the sun.

I don’t see a pro EU movement being Bennite?

So "what is what" is a 'comedic' clip involving Jon Stewart*? How does that relate to the EU and the "Nu Left"?

(*Personally, I don't find him to be the comedy guru you do.)

Libertarians don't like big government or state intervention

    Or taxation

Which is why they hate the EU

    They like free choice

    And guns

    Of course

We have the right to defend ourselves using off the shelf sub machine guns but we don't want these guns falling into the hands of the wrong people .

I give up with you Mate.
I like taxation, representation and free choice.
I also like government intervention when necessary, indeed I wish that governments stepped in earlier than March 2020 and NGO’s like the WHO were ****ed as soon as it became apparent to everybody that cared to see what a bunch of chancers they are.

I’ve raised this point with you before to no avail by the way.
When did this term Libertarianism come to you, particularly to describe me?
I have friends who have the don’t tread on me shit on their cars....it’s not for me.

Also AZ...there was a barbed comment earlier from you to a response from Sludge with a racial connotation attached that could have been directed to me.

It would be nice if you could clarify or retract 👍.

Do you understand who Jon Stewart is?
The relevance of Jon Stewart over the last 30 years?
Do you understand who and what Jon Stewart was calling out?

You were the one accusing me of being a Trump supporter.
Although I had the opportunity to, I didn’t vote for Trump so **** off again.

    You started quoting American libertarians

It was a bit of a give away

Well you would know that libertarians ......your use of the world liberal to describe those of us who are not free market , free choice types is the key here .....are almost exclusively white males who support free choice ......on certain matters .....the right to own a gun and free market economics which shits on the poor

Jon Stewart is a political chameleon

Funny guy , agree with his views on American foreign policy , which is obscene but not on his support of free market healthcare

And he openly admits to voting republican in the past

He should be shot for that alone

I'm 50/50 about going from Cyprus. 16 eur return flight. No test or quarantine required to get into the Netherlands, but Netherlands is classed as red by Cyprus so I'd have to quarantine and do two tests when I come back.

How would you get a ticket? I assume the FAW won't be selling any if Welsh fans are banned and the cheapest "neutral" ticket I could find on SeatPick was 200 quid!

I checked the ticket situation, nothing available via legitimate official routes.

But on reflection this morning, considering my family have not travelled anywhere for the past 18 months, it would be a bit of a p*** take for me to jump on a plane to watch a football match.

Might there be Welsh fans who didn't send back their tickets who now definitely can't go and can transfer over? I don't know but a bump to help you on your quest.
