If there is a worse one in Wales than the Taff's well thermal spring then I'd like to hear it.
"Wales' only thermal spring".
It's listed on tripadvisor as a tourist attraction, but if you've ever been there it is just a damp and dirty cave, resembling and smelling like an old fashioned public toilets. Peering through the rusty gate, in the gloom you can just about make out a stagnant pool full of litter and decaying leaves. It must be about the most depressing place you could possibly imagine.
It isn't even a hot spring - the temperature is usually a pretty unpleasant 12-15 C, and I'm sure the water itself would not convey any kind of a health benefit looking at the state of it.
Are The Sun doing a £10 entry voucher thingy?
Porthcawl fairground on a spring bank holiday could match that.
Admittedly it was a few years ago but the whole place was in the latter stages of deep neglect.
The ice cream was nice though ( Fulgonis ?)
In pre-internet days I did a detour when doing a road trip around the NE corner of the US - to see Quechee Gorge, which was described in promotional literature as Vermont's answer to the Grand Canyon. This is what I saw when I arrived:

Could be expensive for folks
Just been trying to think what Cardiff’s version of the Grand Canyon is. Fairwater ski slope?
Someone could start a pastry competition and call it the Clarkes gorge.
Sydney may have Bondi Beach, Rio have Copacabana, but how could they compete with our very own Splott Beach?
Despite having good reviews, the guy who’s turned his council flat in Port Talbot into a baked bean museum sticks out
Opened this thread, and was fully expecting it to be Sludge’s bedroom/ torture chamber!
..used to go newting there..watched the cooling towers on colchester Avenue get blown up from the grass above the quarry..
Last night on ITV Wales news there was a feature on how Wales has one of the top ten beaches in the world.......Tenby!
