I tend to agree. Both aren't perfect though.
Why not just go back to calling it Great Britain and Northern Ireland? Drop the Team thingy altogether.

Definitely this ‘Team’ thing is a bit shit, not my cup of tea at all.

It only started creeping into use (I think) with "Team Sky" cycling.
