I assume Joel Bagan will be our first choice left back this season? With Tom Davies the backup?

    I'd assume so.

Like the look of Bowen so far as well.

Was it Giles with the ball back to Ng? Don't always have to go backwards but a few positives from Bagan with his effort as well

Took a few years this, granting Southampton a friendly as part of the sell on clause.

Decided the ex pat thread was more interesting than the game so I've only been glancing second half

Tom Davies, Taylor Jones, Josh Murphy & Lee Tomlin on. Joel Bagan, Perry Ng, Ryan Giles & Mark Harris off.

Did they just say Taylor Jones was a CB but too small so they switched him?

The space between the defence and defensive midfield is so easy for Southampton to exploit. Just running at the centre backs without any fear, little to no pressure on the ball and able to pick out a pass. Phillips stopping this game from being a complete rout, but still 10 minutes to go.

A game that has helped highlight the current flaws with Cardiff and suggests that the only solution McCarthy has is to rely on Moore to be a game changer.

Sooner people wake up to the drop in recruiting and playing standards and stop deluding themselves that we can get promoted with a load of kids and other peoples rejects the better.
