Signed for Hearts on loan.
Only 21, thought he was a few years older.
Desperately needs to play regular football. As does Ampadu.
Still young enough to kick on
Hopefully he can go up there, tear it up and get get himself back into the reckoning for Wales.
We have very few options upfront.
Worked for Earnie.
Another Anfield reject. Strange how Liverpool don’t develop more good young players like they used to, once upon a time.
Hope it works out for him. Definitely talented.
Would have liked to have seen him in the Championship. I think it's a tougher league. He would have had to work harder. I think it's a better place to learn your trade and test your mettle.
Quite the little Welsh contingent in Scotland now...
Woodburn - Hearts
Levitt - Dundee Utd
Hedges - Aberdeen
Doidge - Hibs
Williams - Dunfermline
Barden - Livingston
Might even be worth watching the SPL....or maybe not
Better to get regular League football up there than stagnate in some club's reserve teams.
Surprised he's still only 21, hopefully will still come good then.
SPL is roughly League one Level though with the exception of 2 teams.
Some clubs have "loan managers" now who are responsible for knowing what players to send out and where to send them etc, depending on what they need. Some players need a bit of rough and tumble etc so they get sent to league 2 blah blah. I read something on it not so long back but I can't remember what the article was and what club it was for.. Norwich and Brighton came to mind.

Ben Woodburn is training with Preston North End after finally being released by Liverpool.
According to The Daily Mail, the 22-year-old has agreed a two-week trial with the Championship club.
The trial will reportedly be used as a way to maintain Woodburn’s fitness ahead of joining a new team. Over the fortnight, he’s also said to be hoping to impress Preston manager Ryan Lowe.
In any event, Woodburn will come without a transfer fee, having seen his contract expire at Liverpool.
I wonder if that rich club up North could tempt him to play non league.
Wonder if it’s another case of too much to soon, like Leyton Maxwell.
So much money so early in their careers, that they lose the appetite for the game
Don’t see him kicking on
Had all the chances. Will probably mature late 20s at which point it’ll all be too late
