Re: Brooks starting for Bournemouth..
Some takes on Welsh football are just sad and this thread is competing with Grangetown Blue's usual stuff.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the last season where Ramsey or Brooke played 95% of their club games with both now having had a few years when they've missed weeks here and there for little injuries. It's not an issue that only comes up during international football (don't know why you're pretending it is) and both love representing their country when they can.
I don't know, maybe you guys are just looking for attention.

Re: Brooks starting for Bournemouth..
Whether or not a top player plays for his country these days can have a huge financial implications for his club.
If I was a chairman paying top wages to a player, especially one who is injury prone, I would do all I could not to release him.
No surprise at all tonight.

Poor excuse. The two best and highest paid players in the game have 150+ caps each.Originally posted by MacAdder View PostWhether or not a top player plays for his country these days can have a huge financial implications for his club.

To be fair both have been fortunate for so few injuries. Ronaldo in particular probably still has the physique and health of a 25 year old.Originally posted by J R Hartley View PostPoor excuse. The two best and highest paid players in the game have 150+ caps each.
Brooks and Ramsey have been almost made of glass last couple of years.

The two you refer to are freaks of nature and neither has suffered a horrendous career threatening injury.

They are clearly far more committed to their country than Ramsey will ever be.
Funny how hes always fit for finals but but not for the qualifiers.
