An announcement is expected later on Tuesday with a deal for Steve Cooper to take over at the City Ground finalised; Nottingham Forest agreed compensation with his former club Swansea late last week; he left Swansea in July after leading them to the Championship play-offs.

Must have promised him a half decent war chest.
Why would Forest need to pay compensation to Swansea ?

He was contracted until the end of the 2021/22 season when they parted company.
Good appointment but only if they give him time, their squad is a real mess and needs to be rebuilt. They also have an excellent academy which has bailed them out over the years, Cooper will be able to utilise that
He will do well there if given time..
I don’t know a great deal in terms of the ins and outs and inner workings of either forest or the jacks, but what a strange course of events from how the last season ended. Would have taken Cooper down the city if offered.
Alan Tate following Cooper to Forest.

Yeah, would have liked to have seen what he could have done with some time here. He seemed to get a lot of heat at Swansea from the fans for - from my limited vantage point - being fairly successful whilst playing half decent football with a fairly limited squad from what I saw. Limited yes, but you can say that about near enough every team in this division to some degree.
I think Cooper would have been a good appointment for Cardiff City
But that's irrelevant
If my aunty was born with bollocks she would have been my uncle
I'd have Keith Cooper over Tyrannosaurus Rex.
There's a Steve Cooper love-in going on here, lads...
