My nephews Thai wife did this test today, to get a British passport.
You need to get 18/24 to pass, She got 14 so failed. She only gets 1 more attempt.
I’ve tried the Test 5 times this afternoon & passed only twice.
Some of the questions are truly ridiculous and some a total lottery.
The questions change with every attempt.
Try it. I think that many will get deported.

Absolute madness , just cant equate how they relate to a bloody passport application in modern Uk what does it matter if you know how many bloody ski centres there are in Scotland its weird
just got 22/24 but very random i agree
I scored 22. Those pesky ski centres did it for me.
21 with a few guesses, there’s some random shizzle on there!
23/24 with a few guesses.
I didn't realise that St Patrick is the patron saint of all Ireland - including Northern Ireland. Although I should have.
I assumed that the Unionist state would have adopted the Greek born Roman 'saint' who wears the badge for England (and Aragon, Catalonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Palestine, Portugal, Germany, Greece, Moscow, Istanbul, Genoa and Venice).
The Scottish ski resorts question is mad.
20
Of those I guessed I got more wrong than right.
Some odd questions though.
failed...and thankfully i live abroad
Ski Centres??? WTF?
I'm packing my suitcase as we speak!
19 out of 24 for me. Some very strange and a few funny questions in among that lot
18 just in. Extremely difficult for those people having to do this test for real.
Spedger
21 with 6 guesses some right some wrong. Strange questions. I have never heard of the Pale in Dublin
Got 17 and I somehow fluked a few like about Christians in 1257 or whatever mumbo jumbo. What a load of nonsense that is
OP is incorrect in his statement that ‘she only gets one more go’
You can take the life in the U.K. test as many times as you like.
My wife too it last month and got 21 and passed thank god. There were 5 others taking the test at the same time. Out six she was the only one who passed.
I took it and got 18 including a couple of guesses but some of the questions were worded in such a way as to make it a difficult task for someone who’s first language is not English and even then
Pass

a question about who invented DNA was just a joke, its a pretty random thing to prove you are a legit British application
