While not a Cardiff City manager, a few years ago Norwegian side Aalesund played Neath in a Europa league qualifier. I went down to the game at the Knoll, was in with the Aalesund fans (and a few Motherwell lads who made the trip). Spent half the time shouting abuse and doing the Ayatollah to Lee Trundle, who eventually told us all to F@ck off and gave us the V sign.

Anyway, after the game the Aalesund manager was in the bar in the Knoll, guy with the surname Rekdal, scored a winner against Brazil in the World Cup in 1998. His side had won 6-1 on aggregate so I went up to him to ask him what he thought. He was far from happy, kept moaning that they could have thrown the game away in the first half, I don't recall too much of the conversation after an afternoon enjoying Taffy Apples....
