The latest national insurance raise does the complete opposite though. It is unequal and places a bigger burden on the income of low earners.

And that income tax threshold effects even the people earning 6 figures so you're losing tax contributions that could go towards essential public services like education. So while it may look like a positive for the working class it only appears that way if you look at it from a very shallow level.
