Not sure they have been charged have they ?
Not 100% on this, but I’m sure I read TNS, who’s ground is in England, must abide with all clubs Wales and play behind closed doors. If that’s the case it makes the Chester situation even more ridiculous.
The same government deemed sanitary products and baby clothes non essential as well FGS
They may claim they're an English club but they happily took coronavirus grants off Flintshire council last year.
Chester's Chairman:
"We have been acting within English legislation since the stadium was built in 1992. While acknowledging the border runs through the stadium, the club, for 30 years, has been treated as English with the registered address in England. On a match day, the policing around the stadium has always been through Cheshire Police. Our safety certificate, fire, ambulance have always been handled by Cheshire. The entry to the car park and the main entrance to the stadium is in England. We are affiliated to the English FA and throughout Covid the main grants and supports we have accessed have been through the English system."

£25k according to this.
About equivalent to one home game's takings perhaps.
They received a £25k grant linked to their rateable value. Flintshire is the licensing authority so this is who they pay rates to (the money originated from UK Treasury)
It’s not relevant to the current situation. Welsh Government’s position is based solely on the location of the border apparently
If they do get banned, they could get 2-3,000 in the car park which is in England.
Does anybody know if Berwick Rangers are allowed fans ?
No idea about Berwick Rangers. Google Earth is most illuminating when it comes to the Wales/England border through Chester's ground. Presuming it is accurate.
I don’t think they are allowed looking at this link - it appears be be the opposite to Chester. Let’s be honest it’s farcical

The whole of the playing surface and stands are in Wales, the car park is in England.
I just quoted what was on the BBC article , I think it’s trivialising a serious situation and incidents like this can have an affect on public opinion and compliance. It’s only my view though and you’re entitled to yours.
its all a little pathetic
Not sure what whoever in Wales ( new article says "the Welsh government" ) that has started this ball rolling hopes to achieve
We all know Chester are a English club, who cares if the ground is in Wales and the car park in England, they are English, every football fan knows that
Check out the land registry map (or Cheshire and Flintshire council maps come to that), they all show the Welsh-English border in the same place, basically the whole ground is in Wales with the car park in England.
