Bamba confused by the substitution. Didn’t even change shape when he brought Hugill on.

Exactly. Watters the fall guy for the side being set up so poorly. He had two decent chances, one saved by luck by their keeper. Watters isn't a hold up the ball type striker like Moore or Hugill, so hauling him off after 35 minutes for not being that player we knew he isn't is absurd. Poor management and poor man management

Well that’s his call to rotate so many. Not an ounce of creativity in midfield. He’s only a young lad son playing safe but Eli King has passed the ball backwards more times than Marlon Pack.

Atrocious decision from Morison, he's just humiliated a player who had 2 decent shots in 30 minutes, more than any other player on the pitch.

Watters has scored wherever he has been, give him game time and I'm absolutely convinced he can score 20 a season.

Then it can't be to change the shape. Perhaps he's not happy with Watters "passive pressing". Just made a like for like change.

He's not here to protect grown mens feelings, he's here to get results. Or at least try to the best of his ability to do so, Watters is a grown man I'm sure a half time explanation will help him get over it.
    I don’t think it’s on. At all.

Do it at half time, but that’s just unnecessary.

He’s the one who chose to play him.

All this nasty guy stuff will come back and bite him in the backside in my opinion

If a manager has to make first half changes not forced by injury then that’s an admission you ****ed up.

We are not pressing as a team you can’t just blame the strikers for not pressing like a headless Revell. As Bamba also said he’s just fashioned our best chance with a lovely run and shot and then gets hauled off.

So a player can not perform and that falls on the manager?

Not perform? He’s had our two best chances the one he completely fashioned himself.

Until Vaulks and King are hooked its going to be more of the same, nothing against King but picking Vaulks is the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

And? We’ve still got 11 players out there. Are the players who have come in midfield not capable of pressing as a team then?

Take out the games where he isn't a teenager, at Crawley and MK Dons he's scored 18 goals in 26 games.

He's been pulled because of his passive pressing.

He hasn't performed in that respect.

I'm not sure how pulling him half time or when he was pulled makes much difference in the grand scheme of things, its just another thing to use to have a pop at the manager.

    Oh OK.

So fix the stats to suit. OK OK

Nit the best pass to Hugil there...

Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread

Watters would have buried that Hugill chance

This passive pressing thing was said once by one of the commentators in passing. All the others thought it was a weird and completely undeserved substitution.

It's called looking at recent form.

Is Harry Kane a shit striker then because he didn't have a great spell with Leyton orient as a teenager?

Exactly. The guys a poacher, makes good runs, good finisher.

Smashing balls up to him from defence is not the tactic to get the best out of him.

Let’s be honest Davies and Watters is not a combination that was going to work, we knew that before a ball was kicked.
