The Capitol cinema entertainment complex included the Connaught Rooms, Victoriana, Cellar Bar and Dance club in the basement. It was a huge complex the like of which no longer exists in the City. All the major bands and artists played there regularly in concerts.

And Capitol (as in Capitol Cinema was always spelt with an "o".
