Good on him.
Let’s hope this is the start of men being able to be comfortable with who they are.

Could be a whiskey move
Brave lad. It shouldn’t matter in this day and age though.
Only seventeen and he made his league debut for Blackpool on the final day of the season. At that age, he belongs to a generation that appears to have far less of a problem with issues of sexuality than ours has. That said, I’d like to think that he’ll be fine as far as his own age group goes and, although I may be proved completely wrong here, I don’t believe it will be as much of a problem with older fans as some may think - I wouldn’t be bothered in the slightest if a City player came out as gay.
You'd be surprised if the use of rainbow corner flags is anything to go by on the area I sit in the ground
And to be honest it is not a generational issue given my experience - my daughter is in a same sex relationship and she gets far more stick/hassle etc from younger people than she does older
Brave lad.
Hopefully it will be met with a positive reaction in all circles and give other players, who may not have had the confidence to come out before, to do so aswell.
Brave move. I'm sure most football fans won't have an issue with this at all, and hopefully those that do keep their gobs shut.
And the sad thing is that he has to be brave, it should be the same reaction as if he proclaimed to a vegan, who should care
Amazing news, what a lad 👏👏
Good on the lad, I wonder if there are any professional players a bit older thinking if this lad can then why can’t I.

It's a shame this is news.
Your going to get people like that in all jobs, I’m sure a lot more will support him.
As for Twitter etc that’s always going to happen sadly, just like Racial abuse and I don’t think that’s reflective of the real world. If anything a more senior player coming out would help.
I hope he scores a load of goals but Blackpool go down , we sign him and he fires us to promotion
And we have a gay pride section of the Canton
Pleased that the lad has the courage to announce his sexuality, and in time this kind of thing will be the norm. People shouldn’t have to feel different and ashamed of their sexuality. Hopefully this will encourage more and more sportsmen and women to be comfortable as to who they are and not hide it.
