No one ever calls them "Notts Forest" ffs!
Seems they have ambition to give it a good go next year and it shows they have faith in the manager.
BTW, whether referring to them as "Notts Forest" is right or wrong, I have definitely heard them called that before.
I am aware of their proper name , however , I’ve called them Notts , Nottingham Forest and Forest since 1979, and so have plenty of others I know. The pedants clearly have the hump with this

There's no crime or shame in calling them Notts Forest. But it's Notts County. Nottingham Forest. The abbreviated "Notts" County is the actual name of the club.
People generally call them Notts Forest only to wind them up…. Or to provide some variation from the popular and timeless ‘Scabs’!
Nottingham was originally called Snotingham, the nomenclature relating to a chieftain called Snot.

I often think of Forest as a poorly run club throwing money about left, right and centre, but I forget that consistently producing players whose sale goes a long way towards covering such expenditure from your category 2 Academy does make a huge difference to a club.
