Millwall defender Mahlon Romeo has clinched a move to Cardiff City.
The 26-year-old is joining the Welsh club for an undisclosed fee.
Romeo made 41 appearances for Portsmouth last season after joining them on loan in September.
The right-back, who is also comfortable in a back five, will link up again with his former Lions team-mate Steve Morison, who has been in charge at Cardiff since replacing Mick McCarthy in October 2021.
Romeo played 221 matches for Millwall and was a shrewd free transfer pick up by Neil Harris in the 2015 close season following his release by Gillingham.
Its raining players
If he's caught out of position, who'll be the first wag to shout out "Wherefor art thou Romeo ?"
Its raining right backs
Had a big fallout over taking the knee at Millwall.
May be a good signing.
Romeo is the son of music producer and musician Jazzie B, who is best known as the frontman of the R&B group Soul II Soul. That could inspire some interesting terrace songs.
I guess that Cody Drameh won't be returning to us on loan next season.
A lot of unknown quantities arriving......surely we will now need to add some with a higher standard of experience.......else could be a recipe for disaster.ur
I wonder if the loans will be more experienced and we are brining in our own younger players to developer. So many positions to fill though and I’m guessing he’s getting on what he can now to see how far his budget will stretch for “key” players.
Also Ramsey and Bale add that lol
Romeo isn't an unknown and he's got over 4 years experience playing in the Championship.
There are a couple of gambles on inexperience (but potential) in Tanner and Daley-Campbell, and maybe Collins given the change of league and Adams given the step up, but Romeo, Alnwick and O'Dowda have got the tee shirt.
Interesting that WalesOnline saying this is a free transfer even though it is billed as 'an undisclosed fee'.

Seems to be a buffet of players, quantity not quality
I can remember him making a bad mistake at the Den, which led to us scoring.
Must have been when he first started playing, about 4/5 years ago
Lost track of time, with this covid malarkey
Another nothing player.. wtf
