Re: Economic collapse is accelerating; prepare to vomit with fear

Either tomorrow or Thursday (I can't be arsed to check) is when the UK's latest inflation numbers are announced. A month ago CPI and RPI were at 9% and 11% respectively.

Governments all over are trying to elbow their non-corporate farming businesses. Many farmers are protesting in various countries to protect their livelihoods. Not in Blighty though.

If I recall, prices will rise 77% on October 1 and another whopping increase is planned for early next year.

Scots are getting the hump about energy bills, so are Italians. German farmers aren't best pleased either.

This should shock you, horrify you, outrage you. A reader contacted me with this Scottish Gas bill saying that even if they use no gas - ZERO GAS - they will still be charged £136. This is where we are now. It’s happening. Here’s the story https://t.co/L4hHTXCNWu Here’s the bill pic.twitter.com/WQ9zOzEMSA

You predicted all of this ages ago and people laughed at you. Some are still laughing, but I have noticed a few are finally coming to terms with the impending collapse that is hurtling towards us at full speed.

Energy inflation appears to be the chosen tool to splatter economies to lift the cost of everything and reduce people into a state of penury.

I wouldn't have believed until the Covid crap emerged that all these governments would sacrifice their populations over a country few people really care two fecks about.

The big problem is Western governments stopped actually doing anything sensible around 20 years ago. Maybe the advent of the internet and instant, short-term soundbites, attention grabbing 'policies' that never worked or materialise, from one election to the next it's been all about headline grabbing and satisfying a public that has developed an ever-diminishing attention span. Want this now, want that now, if don't get it kick up a stink. Energy should have been sorted long term. The ageing population the same. The £6 trillion pension liability [UK], should have been addressed. The trendy approach to food production across Europe. The almost collapse of the [uk] health service. The huge debt mountain of Western democracies. The almost complete cessation of service delivery in the [UK and other nations] civil services and public departments. And it hasn't even begun..

It seems like Johnson's "levelling up" was a misnomer, and the West is actually levelling down!

It looks like Truss has been selected to front the implementation of Blighty's destruction.

The Climate Change Act was brought in 20 years ago which was later updated with a massive commitment to net-zero by 2050. Meeting that target would have to entail closing down manufacturing and to switch production to China, India, etc.

Clues are everywhere indicating the year's been changed to 2030 from 2050 as the hurry-up gathers pace from the 1st of next month

Today's papers are filled with predictive programming discussing the prospect of energy rationing in the UK this winter, or if it's a very cold one, rolling electricity blackouts during January and February.

Previously we were primed to expect the majority of pubs, cafes and restaurants to close their doors for good before long, now we are told to add manufacturers and care homes to the list of businesses who'll be unable to meet their spiralling energy costs.

There will be some upsides, though. Food banks will become a growth industry and funeral directors must be rubbing their hands with glee.

For what it's worth, I think the world is going to hell in a handcart. I just don't believe every lunatic theory posted on the internet.
