Apprehensive is the word I would use instead of excited
Not sure why but this season has me more excited than previous, perhaps it's all the change and the unknown nature of the squad. I think we still need a striker but by all accounts the club are trying, so just gotta wait it out. I thought the team looked good in preseason, but clearly a few issues to iron out and maybe some work to do on a slightly leaky defence. Guess we'll wait and see but yeah can't wait for Saturday!
I’m really looking forward to Saturday, talk about Tales of the Unexpected, pity Roald Dahl wasn’t alive to introduce us.
Excited? No. Intrigued? Most definitely. The team? No idea.
I think the team wi be the one that started at Swindon
If it is then it’s unlikely to be 0-0 as defensively we look disorganised - which I guess is to be expected to a certain extent.
Can’t see us keeping a clean sheet against Norwich.
We do seem to have movement, pace & creativity up front, so for me the question is ‘can we do what we did vs Swindon against much better sides’
Yeah I'm really excited rightly or wrongly.
The fact that we've signed some really exciting players and the style has changed is great. More than anything though, its just nice to have the prospect of watching some free flowing attacking football, rather than the absolute dreck that's been served up for a bloody long time.
I'm massively excited, I loved a lot of last season even when everyone hated it, probably to do with the fact I had my season ticket back for the first time in a few years, and managed to do 8 or 9 aways too. I was buzzing for Swindon Saturday, I'm buzzing for Norwich, and I can't wait for the first few away days (West Brom, Bristol, and likely Millwall and Huddersfield before the international break in September). Feels like there's a lot more positivity around the club than there has been previously too, even if the same heads always want to try and bring everyone down!
tl;dr- can't wait to get started, Morison's sexy blues are pissing the league
I rate Morison. I know I could be completely wrong and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if I was. But I've got a feeling. A feeling deep inside.
Found it interesting how he said the Villa boy won’t be thrown in as he doesn’t know the DNA of the way we want to play, very Klopp. No idea if the new style will work but he’s certainly trying to get us going in a new direction which I doubt will be easy considering we haven’t had a budget for fees. Very interested to see how we get on in the first 5 games or so.
