You are seeing this as very black or white. You can like them and not think things that people enjoy should be cancelled. You can like them and not think there should be some state mandated mourning process. You could even be a republican but feel that while we have a royal family we should have state mandated mourning.
I will always think it is weird to mourn somebody you don't know personally, grief to me is a persons way of coping with somebody not having a familiar effect on their life anymore, I dont see how people can feel so connected to the queen (or a footballer, popstar, movie star etc.). If somebody doesn't like me not mourning, then I will tell them what I think. I don't think many people are going out there looking to upset people who are mourning/upset.
The Monarchy, religion, for people that can’t face real life and are searching for someone to worship. Sad really
It’s a strange world we live in. Character like David Icke preaches absolute gobbledeegook, and quite rightly gets thought of as a bit of a nut job. Priest on the radio today talking about the Queen being delivered to God, and other ridiculous religious guff, and nobody blinks an eyelid.
Absoloute nonsense
People are sending round joke videos on Facebook and twitter
If people are going to do that thing you think .....because you have some link to the military .....so do I.....that everyone should show respect ?
This is all pathetic. A few weeks ago a little girl was shot in Liverpool. That's sad . Old age pensioners not getting care because of this awful awful government . That's bad .
An old lady dying who people didn't know and people are having hysterical reactions ?
Sorry but I think these people are open to ridicule.
Jeremy Corbyn’s twitter comment on the death of Elizabeth II:
‘My thoughts are with the Queen’s family as they come to terms with their personal loss, as well as those here and around the world who will mourn her death.
I enjoyed discussing our families, gardens and jam-making with her.
May she rest in peace.’
Brief, respectful but concerned with the person not the institution.
