They always say that, don't they.

    It’s been 10 games

    We’ve signed how many?

    Should have given it time

I would rather Hudson than Mark Hughes

    He walks like a cowboy

I suppose so, I just think it’s going to be tough for a new manager to take on these players that are “Morisons experiment”. Interesting, but it’s like we’re stuck in a never ending cycle of pain, and that won’t change until Tan and his cronies piss off (in my opinion)

    Why?
How much time is acceptable when you've chucked millions at it?
I wanted him to be given a shot at it. In hindsight, that was the wrong decision.
Of course, hindsight is a wonderful thing...
Wrong man for the job, but it's done.

Until the club is bought by someone else then its pointless waving guns in the air

    Tan calls the shots

He made a good decision in getting warnock in but after his star faded its been a death metal festival

I think you have to support the manager but now he's been relieved of his duties it would be best if Hudson was handed the keys on a temporary basis as he's never a permanent solution

Strange decision given that the three main people reaching this conclusion (Tan, Dalman and Choo) know nothing about football

Would be rather ironic if we appointed David Wagner, as it was Hudson who was appointed Caretaker at Huddersfield when Wagner was sacked there 3 years ago.

Like almost everyone else oh here, totally gobsmacked by the sacking.
It seems that Tan felt that the season was in danger of being a relegation battle and acted.
Like many others though, there is a feeling that there is more to it than that.
There had been a need for a central striker all season, and though we would have had to settle for journeyman, almost anyone would be better than what we've got. Paterson is a good link up player but not about and out striker. Morison seemed dead set against the journeyman idea.
There are loads of other aspects of his reign which are being talked about. On a personal note I did not take to the man. I suspect behind the scenes there are many like me. Perhaps Tan was one of them.

Colchester United U23's is where Morison will end up if he's lucky
He had the opportunity here to succeed and was backed with the players he wanted, unfortunately he just wasn't up to the job
At least he won't be lonely as he has his over inflated ego to keep him company and a long time to reflect on his man management skills (or lack of allegedly)

I've loved your posts on Morison, and i mean that, genuine. I have some of the same feelings towards him.

The club website appears to be offline - for me anyway.

Maybe they are in frantic recovery mode after a hack and the club statement was a joke by Organ, Pedro or a random Jack?

We will wake up in the morning to business as usual and Steve Morison laying into ‘you lot’!

    Re: STEVE MORISON SACKED

the timing of it is very strange.

if you want to change manager then we could surely find someone in the background and then get rid of Morison when we have someone in place.
what was the point of sacking him now when we clearly have no idea of where we want to go next?

I fear for this next appointment

If there's no juicy grainy footage to go with the story it'll be a massive anticlimax!

International window, all the players will be on holiday this week. In that respect, it looks like the perfect timing.

We're pretty much playing Saturday/Tuesday from October to mid November. There's no point getting a new manager in once we get started, they won't be able to get on the training ground.

From the other board - so now we know why

"I was told just now: Tan had not planned to get rid of Morison, there was heated discussions at h-t and full-time, then after the game Morison walked as he was given the nod that his time was up after the heated exchanges with Tan.

So I believe there will be NO compensation for Morison.

So there was no one lined up"

    Re: STEVE MORISON SACKED

I think its unlikely hes just walked and no comp.

You wouldn’t sack someone for heated exchanges or walk without compensation either.

Warnock’s heated exchanges were well known especially that one at Sheffield United involving Chris Morgan

Perhaps his mate will give him a job at Gillingham.
