Can't fault them for their numbers and noise but considering the fine Wales got recently for a flare at the Austria game I'm expecting some heavy enforcement against the Polish fans for tonight. Constant flares from the first minute onwards, fireworks shot across the stadium (luckily up and out of the stadium unlike the Romania tragedy) , pitch invader at the end and a lot of Polish fans with tickets in the Wales sections. Could have gone very badly wrong on another night.
Several Polish fans near me in the Ninian stands were heavily attacked by Welsh fans. They were sporting Polish scarves and flags and not disturbed until Poland scored. Without excusing the attackers, these Poles stood up and continued to celebrate extremely exubrantly for much longer than was wise. I think they were still at it minutes later.
I think it regrettable that adults feel the need to be violent to opposing fans but we know what can happen - and I think that the stewards allowing them in the Wales end whilst bedecked in Polish paraphernalia needs to be reviewed.

Good write up That young Roma lad Zalewski caught my eye, I though he had a good game on the left.

There was a group of about Poles in front of us. They were constantly filming the game (with a Polish bias) and there Poles all around the stadium. They should all have been chucked out.
I thought the ref was absolutely dreadful and the Polish team were just a bunch of cheats. It’s not anti-football, it’s cheating and it’s time that refs treated it that way. You could see Bale talking to the ref and pointing to his left wrist as he protested about their cheating.
Rubin had a good cameo and had a chance to shoot from the edge of the box, but didn’t. In fact, Wales were like that all night. It seems no one wants to shoot from the edge of the box anymore - like Cardiff City!
I got the impression they wanted to pass it in, no one had the nerve to shoot from distance for fear of losing the ball because every time the game stopped the polish killed the momentum

On the firework, I really hope this is massively addressed both at the stadium to improve on checks and Poland with serious action. For those of us who remember the Romania game it sends a chill and must be zero tolerance towards this

The question to be asked is how did they get through the turnstiles decked out in opposition colours ?

The stewards are not paid well but it's clear that they are not doing their job

We are always told south wales police are experts at dealing with big events .......clearly they need to deal with some questions as to how they were taken by surprise

But it won't happen , it never happens

There were a handful of Polish police there last night but I think the potential issues were underestimated. There were probably 3x that many Poles in the MillStad for the speedway GP but no trouble (that I know of).

When I bought a ticket in the Polish end in the reverse fixture in Wroclaw, I had to supply both my passport & Polish social security card before I could get a ticket.

One woman near me walked into the stand loudly shouting "Polska" at the stewards who greeted her and showed her to her seat, with a group of 7 or 8 all in Poland shirts and scarves. There were no problems as it was mainly families around us but the atmosphere turned a bit after the dust-up in The Ninian which was just below us.

Glad I didn't go last night. Can do without that kind of stress these days.

The firework incident could have gone horribly wrong. I think we've become a bit too naive and soft with policing, stewarding and security at CSS for the Wales matches and hopefully this is a wake-up call. If I'd have been sat next to or close to any rowdy Polish fans last night I'd have left and claimed my money back (and believe me, I'd get it).

There are a lot of hidden disabilities too within the supporter base so it's important to make sure that when we buy tickets we're safe and know we're going to be protected.

Dodged a nasty incident last night by the sounds of it so we were lucky but they need to get their sh*t together as we don't want this kind of stuff at CSS or Wales matches.

Worth remembering we went into the Euro 2016 finals on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Sweden.
We go into the World Cup finals with nothing to lose and everything to gain
Think we might do pretty well

Glad they've arrested someone. Was a bit annoying to see the press reports this morning referring to 'raucous and rowdy' fans. It was bloody terrifying seeing that shoot across the stadium along with the sounds of mini explosions going off.

There was loads of so called Welsh fans selling there tickets on Facebook because they couldn't make the game. Looks like a lot of those tickets ended up in Polish hands. The seats where the Polish people were sitting should be identified and the person who sold it to them be dealt with.

A few got chucked out of 117.
I’ve no problem with away fans in with us…as long as they don’t take the piss. A few needed to be spoken to by Wales fans, but didn’t listen ….they got thrown out.
