(wouldn't go as far as 'despise') Very odd.
We have covered this over many threads and months before.

I have spent most of my adult life as a Labour Party member, a branch secretary, an active campaigner. I have lived through many Labour regimes I disliked, but I got to a tipping point with Starmer and his circle. I resigned - or tried to resign - almost a year ago, although the party seems incapable of accepting or processing that resignation and still treats me like an active member in good standing. I'm not.

I listened to him for over an hour at the Sheffield leadership hustings lying through his teeth. He broke every one of his famous 10 Pledges within a year.

His leadership has been marked by a war on the left (especially the cruel and baseless attacks on socialist Jewish members), rebooting some of the worst elements of Blairism (without the energy or personality), craven support for an apartheid state, suppression of the Forde Report, failure to support the most low paid and vulnerable trying to defend themselves in the face of a cost of living crisis, wrapping himself in the Union Jack, promoted and defended people I see as reactionary racists in the Labour staff and on the NEC, and a hundred other things that rile me.

But I will vote Labour again - to get the Tories out. Any Labour government I can imagine under Starmer will be better than any Tory government. Just as Blair (war criminal and Murdoch's 'safe' option as PM) was better than the realistic alternative. But I don't have to be enthusiastic, I don't have to fund them and I don't have to spend more wet nights out on the doorstep selling the hype and the bullshit.

As you may gather, I am angry with Starmer and what has become of the Labour Party. 'Despise' seems to capture that perfectly.

And what do/did I think about Johnson and Truss? Really - you think from my posts I would prefer them? They make Starmer look like a beacon of competence, principle and integrity.
