Sunak is as centrist, and his politics are going to be rather dull and boring. He also has the confidence of the city and has a good working relationship with the BoE and HMT. If the markets were spooked by Trust and Kwasi Kwarteng, they will be reassured by Sunak.
If a week is a long time in politics, then two years is forever. For those saying Labour will win the next election, I wouldn't close the book just yet.
One thing is for sure, with three female PMs and now a person of colour, there is no doubt the Tories are far more socially progressive than any other Western political party.
