It's worth a try. We have to get as many people on the pitch that can score as humanly possible.

Re some people's comments on Ojo. Ojo tried to create today, he worked his backside off. Sawyers is absolutely past it, though. I feel for Simpson, he really looks like a centre half playing left back.

Camarasa has stayed in Spain, signed for Oviedo immediately after getting "released".

He is too slow and is thinking seems a couple of seconds behind the play, which is one of the reasons he is regularly yellow carded
Ralls is streets ahead of Sawyers.

I’m surprised Rino seems surplus to requirements. I thought a new manager would make the most of his energy.

I don't question his commitment, it's his ability I question.

He's trying to score a goal, which is more than most of the others.

It’s funny because he’s often labelled as lazy. I don’t think he is and can see why managers play him, he moves with the ball but lacking in confidence, if he could get a goal or two he could be key as could Philogene.

We need a more attacking midfielder, and I think Sang should be given a chance to show his attacking flair. With a big centre forward now on our books, we also need two fast and tricky wingers in the team, with O’Dowda and Davies the obvious choices.
I have always like Ralls but he is not the player that he was before his last long injury lay off.

Sadly he seems to lack that yard of pace now and his game was heavily dependent on energy and high intensity. He just looks to be struggling in every game he plays now :-(

It's not a case of singling these players out. I think pretty much everyone accepts that Sawyers has been a huge disappointment, Simpson was a dreadful signing and Ojo is extremely frustrating.

However, you have a look at the team as a whole when attempting to assess why things have gone so badly wrong this season and, in my opinion at least, several of the side's mainstays just aren't very good by this division's standards.

City have played 30 league games this season. The players leading the appearances chart are:

    Ryan Allsop - 30 appearances
    Ryan Wintle - 29 appearances
    Perry Ng - 28 appearances
    Cedric Kipre - 27 (+1) appearances
    Callum O'Dowda - 26 (+1) appearances

Of those five, I'd argue that only Kipre and O'Dowda are decent Championship players. They would get into plenty of other sides in this division, but how many other teams at this level would covet the likes of Allsop, Wintle or Ng? I know there are some contributors who rate these players for various reasons, but in my view they are well below average by Championship standards. They look distinctly limited to me. Meanwhile, I think most of us agree that Ralls is having his poorest season since arriving at the club.

Saying that doesn't mean the likes of Sawyers, Simpson and Ojo get a free pass by any means, but stating they haven't been good enough is like saying today is Sunday.

Ng and Wintle play important positions as well. Ng is the 2nd central defender, there to pick up the 2nd balls and put himself in positions to sniff out danger, kipre is the man that should contest the 1st ball. Ng isn't cutting it, go knows what people are looking at, maybe standards are low, or it''s because he gives the impression that he's some kind of footballer that kind of gets him off the hook a bit. Wintle is their to start things in midfield, act as that player who is always available, a poor mans joe Allen. He is as slow as ****, rarely has a picture in his mind, what are people watching if they think that he is doing enough?

have a good squad. They are very nice guys, but maybe too nice.
Too kind a quote . But there is truth .

Rather than say nice id add we have no bite and fear factor that would supplement your skilled team, from the likes of players like Pelts, Pato, Super Kev, Gunner, Hugill, Flint , Moza, Bamba .. need a bully up front .

It was only his commitment that was the issue.

People need to get off Ojos back while he’s playing OK and trying

Yes he was appalling a while back but better now

Yes he's very trying but he's certainly not playing ok. It's definitely not his commitment that's the issue.

The thing that's staggering about the Ojo situation is that the club had him on loan throughout 2020/21 and to say he blew hot and cold is being kind. He then went to Millwall, where he didn't pull up any trees. So who at the club thought it was a good idea to bring him back? If City's recruitment team can't successfully scout players who actually played for the team two years ago, then it demonstrates they are not doing their jobs properly.

Flip side of that coin was Drameh.

He won player of the year and the club made no attempt to get him back.

Agree, like so many of our players, he's flawed. Makes poor decisions and is slow in thinking. I don't think that he can help it though, and i admire his effort and the fact that he will take responsibility when he's on the ball.

Absolutely, 100% agree. It amazes me we brought him back. He did very little the first time he was here.

Yes agree with your final comments, I'm not criticising his commitment, he's an honest tryer but we need a lot more than just that.

Absolutely we do. He's dopey, doesn't know when to release the ball, slow down play, come inside, start again etc.

    You don't know that.

Drameh was on the Leeds bench for their first five Premier League games and started the sixth on 03/09/22 after the transfer window had shut. He was obviously in their plans at that stage.

Ayling was injured. There was no way they were going to let him go.

Ojo is a poor signing but he’s alright comparatively to the likes of Daley-Campbell, Simpson and Sawyers. Recruitment department should be ripped up completely, it just isn’t working.

You don't know if they did either do you.

He was available for loan in January and ended up at Luton.
