I don't know if the club tried to bring Drameh back on loan at any stage, but I'm 100% certain Leeds were not prepared to let him go in August. He was in their Premier League match day squads throughout August and September. As for January, you stated the club made no attempt to bring him back as if that's a fact, but you don't know it to be so. You're just assuming that's the case because it suits your anti-club narrative.
Dramah ended up at Luton on 26/01 when City didn't even have a manager. Under the circumstances, it's no surprise he didn't come back here, but was instead sent to a team challenging for the Championship play-offs.
There are many justifiable sticks you can use to beat the club with, but failing to try to re-sign Drameh is not one of them. That said, you were grizzling about the club not bringing Kieffer Moore back on loan the other day, so it seems your grip on reality is slipping.
What I said was if I was the club I'd approach Bournemouth.
Nobody was grizzling or saying it was likely Moore would come here.
So during this season, by your admission, Drameh was available. I don't believe we tried to get him, you have no proof either way. As much as you rate your own opinion.
And you have no proof the club didn't try to get him. Therefore, when you stated: "Flip side of that coin was Drameh. He won player of the year and the club made no attempt to get him back," you were making things up to suit your own narrative.
You'd be far better off just sticking to the facts. They're damning enough as it is.
Get a room you pair ffs.
Did Leeds want a loan fee for Drameh? I’ve seen it reported that we can’t pay loan fees for players under the terms of our embargo. What would be good is the club letting supporters know what we can and can’t do now under the embargo - if we knew that, we may learn that it was harder for us to make signings last month than the club’s fans thought it was.
As it is, we know that the club paid around Ł7 million to Nantes last month with the presumption being that we did so to bring new players in because at least part of our embargo had been lifted. In the event, we made one what looks to be desperate signing. Given what we’ve seen from the club for much of the Tan years, I’ve become so cynical now that I wouldn’t put it past the club not reading the fine print so to speak and believing that their payment would lift the embargo completely - some sort of clarification from the club would, hopefully, prove me wrong in that opinion.
You’re right, Colin. We don’t have any proof either way. Considering Morison and his recruitment team were obviously fans of Drameh, I’d say it’s far more likely that the club couldn’t bring him back rather than they didn’t try, but we may never care.
What is far more of a concern, and what was the original point of the discussion, is that someone at the club thought Ojo was worthy of a two-year contract based on his efforts here in 2020/21.
I s’pose it’s the one thing we can’t criticise the board for. They have no clue what’s going on in the football world or how the whole system works and seem to have no interest in learning, so they say bugger all. I never make comments or statements regarding heart surgery or astro physics for the same reason.
I can't understand the dislike of Wintle. He is the only midfielder who knows what is around him before he gets the ball and releases it accordingly.
But trying to play football in our midfield has probably exhausted him. I respect Tuerto's views, but I think Wintle can be a valuable player for us during the rest of the season.

Wintle has been as poor as anyone recently, but he was better and more consistent for most of the season. He doesn't have to do anything too flashy, just sit and distribute. He was always comfortable with a football at his feet - didn't treat it like a bomb about to go off. Something to do with his upbringing at Crewe?
Over the summer I thought Eli King was being developed as Wintle's understudy. He is obviously way behind on experience, but after a fairly good loan spell, maybe he will get a chance if Wintle is still out of form?
