True. Maybe there's a healthy dose of luck about these things but at least they took another risk on a rookie (and not one that was In The Building already).

Based on the information Romeo is available my team would be this:

    Alsopp

    Romeo
    McGuinness
    Kipre
    Ng

    Davies
    Wintle
    Rino
    O'Dowda

    Kaba
    Robinson

We can win if we start shooting with that team.
I think 442 as well, but would go with philogene over Davies, and ( i think) Bagan as left back. I thought Bagan was okay but is he really so bad that the 3rd manager doesn't fancy him? if he is, maybe Ralls in there.

I looked after i posted as i was thinking of Woodgate, Southgate & Carrick but forgot about Robson. Honorary mentions to McClaren and Karanka who were also give their 1st opportunity in management, albeit having had some experience in the dugout previously.

That's as strong a lineup as I could think of.

I think i'm happy with that, but I have a feeling he will play Etete and Kaba. I'd be happy with that too, and it would give Robinson the kick up the arse he needs!

Been no sign of Sol since he was ill a couple of weeks back.
    Trust all is well.

I didn't see him on the Middlesborough training prep vid on the club website. Maybe still avoiding the risk of spreading something?

I liked the vibe on the training vid. Lamouchi seems to be a proper coach who knows what he is doing. Got a shot on him too.

I’ve often thought Ralls could do a decent job there.

he did play there, and I don't remember it being an unqualified success

I’m surprised anyone thinks Davies will play. Lamouchi put him on the bench for his first game but didn’t bring him on, then dropped him from the squad altogether for his second game.

He might make the bench I suppose, but I’ll be amazed if he’s in the starting line-up.

We lost 5-0 to Sheffield Wednesday the last time that Ralls played left (wing) back.

Yeah maybe. Definitely want to see O'Dowda on one wing but could have Davies, Philogene or Ojo on the other, with a spare winger on the bench if one starts to tire.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v MIDDLESBROUGH. Match thread

    I think he will play:

    Allsopp
    Romeo McGuinness Cedric Ng
    Sawyers Rinimota Wintle
    Philogene Robinson
    Kaba

Rinomhota can be anonymous at times, but I’m surprised he’s had so few games recently as he does improve the energy levels of the team - I’m not sure I agree with him being the furthest forward of our midfielders with a scoring record like his mind.

Non-stop positivity is required inside the ground tomorrow. No glum silence allowed nor updating Facebook profiles on those mobiles.

I can't make out any of the lyrics in what's below except for the manager's name. Whatever they may be, just repeating Sabri Lamouchi as they did with the second occurrence at a higher octave will do the trick.

    I tried.

    And tried.

I got the obvious "hates the derby hates the Leicester" then there was some incoherent mess then I heard "magic" and then "SAAAABBRRII LLAAAMMMMOOOUUUUCCHHIIII"

Thanks for that. Seems far too complicated for a football chant.

I want to see you stood throughout on your seat tomorrow giving it large.

The missing bit is Forest Are Massive!

All too England on Wembley Way acting @rseholes for my liking. They sing one about Harry Maguire to the same tune.

And that tune is La Bamba.
