It’ll be sixty years since I saw my first City game in October and for fifty nine of them I’d say I was able to understand the large majority of what those in charge of the footballing side were talking about. Not this season though, although Lamouchi doesn’t English as his first language, I understand what he says - I couldn’t say that about Morison and Hudson for much of the time and, on that evidence, the same applies to Gavin Chesterfield.

Morison and Hudson especially had a version of football speak that I struggled with - I didnt fully understand what he was talking about when it came to treatment of injuries in particular. Yet, when he was playing for us, I found Hudson to be articulate and interesting - as manager, hed talk a lot and not say much, which, I suppose was probably the object of the exercise.

Colwill is one-of a few in this City side who look to be very low in confidence - none of what you’d call the first team contenders are doing well.
