I stopped visiting the main forum over a week ago for reasons the venerable Sludge alluded to.
Let's make Friday night music night here instead.
Let's fecking 'Ave it!
The prospect of a dedicated music thread here tomorrow has excited me no end.
I cannot resist posting Rainbow's best track for another 24 hours.
since we've started earlier than planned throwing in one of my fav Slade tunes

First time I've heard that Slade one. I probably know of all their hits, along with The Beatles', ELO, U2, Simon and Garfunkel, etc, etc.
I once had a go at listening to the Fab Four's 200+ published songs as I had the madcap idea of learning to play them all on harmonica. I gave up on realising 80% to 90% were dreadful album-filling dirge, and its been a similar tale with everyone else's music. Their best known hits aside, it's awful shite.

Joe Walsh's Life's Been Good never ages. I first heard it inside a (long demolished) pub called The Glendower in Butetown in the mid-80s before a home match when you had to be half-cut to help suppress suicidal thoughts when watching Alan Durban's Cardiff City try to play football.
The song embedded below I vaguely recall was filmed at a Cardiff pub. I doubt it was the Glendower I remember as that dive was even dingier.
That alehouse was circa 200 yards away from what was a real contender for the capital's gloomiest, roughest and most notorious boozer, the also long gone Custom House whose clientele always included toms and their pimps and dedicated pissheads galore.
