U18s 2-0 but down to 10 men at half time against Reading. Nyakuhwa with the goals.
Finished up 2-1.
Interesting article here primarily about youngsters Japhet Matondo & Tanatswa Nyakuhwa: https://twitter.com/roathboy/status/1649437405479403522?s=20
An equally interesting line about Lewys Benjamin:
"Lewys Benjamin was all set to join the exodus, but reported complications relating to his Manchester City medical have seen him remain in South Wales, but seemingly only temporarily, with Wolves keen to push through a summer move."
Now Manchester City I understand, but is Wolves a huge step up? Cardiff's keepers are terrible & Benjamin's made the bench for City in the FA Cup, there's a real possibility he could get into the Cardiff team
Didn't say next season did I? He's clearly highly rated, enough for Man City to try and sign him. Allsop and Alnwick are contracted until 2024, same for Luthra I think. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could do what Luthra does from the 24/25 season as the understudy for whoever comes in
2-0 victory for the u18s over Wigan. Louis Philips and Troy Perrett with the goals
Couple of points to note about todays under 21 game with Barnsley. First, the club site has it down as being at Cardiff City Stadium and, second, it’s a two o clock kick off, not the normal one o clock. It might be a chance to see Ebou Adams in action.
Adams, Bagan, Davies, King all playing
Davies is looking sharp
Barnsley hit the crossbar with a penalty, maybe justice done as the commentators don’t think it was a foul by Eli King - I thought it looked like one, but it is pretty distant view on the stream.
King missed a good chance for us.
Bagan hits the crossbar with a free kick from around thirty yards.
Superb volley from twenty yards by Adams gives City a deserved lead.
Isaak Davies punishes a defensive error to make it 2-1.
