Right, we've got a manager, a coaching team, a shirt, one pre-season friendly and some fixtures - I'm ready for some player announcements now.
Yep, I’m ready now. Let’s get some players in Erol.
Proven championship goalscorers, still in or close to their prime, are out of reach for us.
If they are free transfers, there are so many more attractive clubs than us.
If they are currently at a club, they are going to cost a ton and we can't even pay transfer fees, at the moment.
So our options are to look to the foreign market and bring in a few players from there, hope that some of the youngsters step up (Davies perhaps) and also bring in a championship striker who might not be prolific, but can lead the line and chip in with 7 or 8 goals themselves (probably all we can hope for given our circumstances) - I think we HAVE to do all three of these and hope for the best.
Given how our season went last year, I was disappointed that we didn't look to keep Uche on after his loan stint - a cheap option, he liked it here, scored a few important goals and provided some quality hilarity.
The manager and club obviously thought we were better than him but actually we were better with him than without - as the season proved.
Yeah, I was being a bit tongue in cheek saying that as obviously the club wasn’t completely ignoring the striker position last summer and signing a quality Championship option isn’t easy, but as mentioned we had options we let go (Collins and Uche for two, without considering other options in the market) who were better than the options we went into the season with - to me there was a certain arrogance in what Morison was trying to do, it almost seems like he wanted to play such dazzling football that we could just pass the ball into the net and it wouldn’t matter that our strikers were either converted wingers or players who had never had success past league 2.
Where's ccfcwelshlad when we need him?

Please...NO!!!! Not another has been looking for a final resting place.
Good in his day (...and I was there when he made his debut...) but not now.......please....
This has to be a joke?
Presuming he would take a hefty wage cut, which is the only way we could sign him this is a no brainer. Just in value for tickets and shirt sales Ramsey would be a great business decision for the club, he would make premier league clubs that bit more inclined to loan us quality young players and would be a good head around the camp. Bigger picture.
