A non story really about Ejuke, but it's from a more reputable source than the one which suggested the deal was probably off a few days ago and they make no mention of him going somewhere else.

️ Cardiff and QPR keen on Bobby Thomas
— TurfCast (C) (@TurfCastPodcast) July 9, 2023
QPR and Cardiff City are both interested in taking Bobby Thomas on loan. Thomas had a brilliant loan last season with Barnsley but will likely struggle to find a solid senior spot.

This is spot on. We do need more depth at centre back, but with three senior centre backs on the books at the moment it is probably going to be a recently released younger player who will be prepared to be a squaddie and work toward a 1st team starting place. The top teams will not loan players to be back ups.
Interesting from someone who, apparently, predicted the Yakou Meite signing a day or two beforehand..

Here's hoping the "delay" is just to tie it in with the away kit reveal.
Bow to your better knowledge but confused how we can offer other contracts if we are waiting on preferred players as this implies if target A finally accepts we may then go back and withdraw other contract offers to other players- not sure how that helps future dealings if we have a rep for this type of approach
Appreciate we would down a list but didn't realise there would be a range of contracts offered out - interesting
Anybody watched the Sky documentary series called Deadline Day? For me it confirmed the devious role that the agents play, manipulating clubs, speculating and worst of all forcing moves.
Telling statements. There are 3 deals to be done, club, player & agent. On a couple of occasions the deal stalls because the club wouldn’t agree the agents slice. The engineered Openda deal from Bruges to Lens is a disgrace.
They’ll be speaking with agents, and will broadly agree terms with various clients. Every club does the same. Otherwise if you don’t get your first choice, you won’t sign anyone. Every club has 2/3 months to do all of their business so it is chaos. All agents know this so they’re trying to get the best move they can for their player.
If you remember, we’d agreed terms with Doughty and when it was obvious Giles wasn’t coming back we pulled the trigger.

Ejuke looks to be off :(
Yes to other players, but think Ejuke has fallen through. Which is a great shame as he'd have been another real coup for the club
