Not much on detail, intriguing.
Implies Miller Insurance Services LLP have paid up something. Enough to satisfy Vincent Tan.
I've been typing and deleting since seeing this.
Intreguing but I have absolutely no idea what the likely settlement would be and I would cast doubt on anyone that says they do.
Very interesting. Suggests Miller (or their legal advisors) thought they weren't entirely blameless at least.
Shame they haven't said how much the settlement is.
Something for Keith and the Trust to get their teeth into, hopefully.
Wont it show eventually in the accounts?
We will no doubt find out when accounts come in, but undoubtedly good news for City.
Dont think legal action over yet. Nantes and agents still not settled.
If there is already a provision in the accounts for this, then isn't it just a case of removing the provision with an accompanying note to say why? I doubt the actual settlement figure would show, in either ours or Millers' accounts.
Looks like Tans legal team have finally got it sorted out with the insurance company.
Now they need to go after Nantes crooked owner (Kita), and the agent that brokered the deal.
If it's a sizeable settlement to Cardiff it will be interesting to see if the other actions are withdrawn as any insurance settlement will decrease the value of claim made in those actions.
Paul Abbandonato describing it on twitter as "a very large sum"

Looks like the club had a very strong case for this to be settled and the broker had a liability.
Interesting and has to be good news. Shame it’s cost us three windows.
Probably £1 so Vincent can claim a “settlement” and a moral victory
The company paying up seems to suggest he WAS our player. That may add weight to outside agencies interfering in the transport arrangements? Who knows?
I would guess it was paid in full when it became clear that the insurance co was trying to wriggle out of it….that’s what insurance co do.
We sent a note out to our members this evening but it is not possible to say how much the settlement figure was as only the club senior officials and the brokers (plus both sides` lawyers) know the actual figure as it is confidential between the parties. If anyone quotes a figure other than those parties they are either guessing or just pretending to be ITK.
What is clear is that any money received benefits the club`s accounts and that pursuing the matter was the right thing to do.
Keith
Definitely good news, with money available in January (if needed). Must run into several millions.
