Can't help but smile looking at that league table 😊
Would Rambo have shone today ?
I am not sure that he would
A good rest and 3 points and confidence for the side without him
Fine result
Apart from one incident, I thought Tanner was superb, especially defensively.
Yes, we were lucky and I think Sunderland are top six, or possibly top two material, but we were so good today. Southampton we’re massacred by them in their last home game and yet we defended so well.
He's a bit ungainly when he runs but he did not stop running today. He took the captain's armband, assisted the winner, and his teammates made a big fuss of him on the pitch after the final whistle.
Given that Siopis is still bedding-in to the team I'm sure there will be fewer stray passes in midfield as the season progresses and our midfielders become more familiar with each other's game
Ng and Wintle played hundreds of games together at Crewe Alexandra and I noticed today how good their understanding of each other's movement and position is.
This team is going to get better.
great result city

they weren't very good (Efficient) in front of goal. looks like we stuck to a plan and it worked.
Wintle is a fine player but in the more advanced role, he looked a bit of a passenger compared to Siopis and Ralls all action roles. I guess he didn't pick the team, positions, or roles and was following the manager's instructions and stayed on and we won
A point a game and I reckon we could be safe this season.....
best start of the season since 2017/18
Cardiff City pull off an impressive win at Sunderland that takes Erol Bulut's side up to seventh.

It's their best start to a season since 2017/18 under Neil Warnock, when they went on to be promoted. #BlueBirds pic.twitter.com/xE8lAQH8EG
Have enjoyed our more attack minded start, mostly when we have won of course.
But every now and then a proper shithouse away win is beautiful. Particularly when you then see all the Sunderland tears.
Plaudits to Alnwick also....he made some good saves and commands his area......gives confidence to the defence...as opposed to last year....
Just watched Isaak'sgoal (no.8) v Sheff Utd...THAT is what Tanner needs to look at how to finish....
of interest...Newcastle the first team t have eight different scorers in a match....
wow didnt expect anything from that today, good battle, they pass it well, big crowd and all
dont know how tanner missed that lol
but onward and upward
I thought the back 4 and keeper were immense. We could have retained the ball much better but certainly wasn’t for a lack of effort from all the players and subs, thought they all put a real shift in.
