Another issue. A bus operator runs a service that is now often 20-25 minutes late arriving at its destination. I've seen the stats over the last week. Should the operator
a) modify the timetable, keeping the current frequency, which would mean using 4 more buses and drivers, all of which would need to be funded by the fare payers, or
b) modify the timetable, reducing the frequency of the service to keep costs the same, or
c) do nothing, ignorance is bliss
Either way the operator is going to annoy passengers by raising fares, having less buses or having late running services. If one motive behind 20mph is to get more to use public transport, theres a problem with it.
