How long does a ruptured tendon take to heal?
The repaired tendon will usually be back to full strength after about 12 weeks. But, it can take up to 6 months to regain the full range of movement.

Is a ruptured tendon worse than a tear?
The terms “tear” and “rupture” are often interchanged when speaking about damage to tendons and other body parts. A common question we're asked is “what are the differences between a tear and a rupture?” Surprisingly, there are no differences between a complete tear and a rupture.
I'm at an age whereby we used to 'sprain' our ankle. Nowadays, it's damaged ligaments.

Remember when metatarsals were all the rage? I’d never heard of them up to then and not heard of them since their Beckham/Rooney heyday.
