No Semenyo, Wigley, Evans, Crole, Benjamin, Colwill or Ashford for the u21s
Benjamin is the co commentator for today’s game, says he’s been injured for two or three weeks, but is now back in training.
Dabono shown a red card for a rash tackle after he let the ball get away from him - probably the right decision given the way things are interpreted today in senior football, but I thought it was harsh in a game like this.
1-0 to Millwall at half time. It’s a bit like watching Sunday’s game because we’re having little of the ball and we’re spending nearly all of the time defending, but it’s wrong to expect anything else when you’re having to play over eighty per cent of the game with a one man disadvantage.
Finished 1-0 to Millwall, but great credit to City for being the better side in the second half and taking the game to Millwall despite their one man disadvantage. City had a great chance to equalise in the last minute when Nyakuwha did well to win a penalty which he elected to take himself. The problem was that hed looked out on his feet in the quarter of an hour or so beforehand and it wasnt a surprise to see his spot kick saved.
Was very impressed by Kyle Kenniford in midfield and Mafico did very well also.
Ref was hopeless.

Under 21s 2-0 down at half time.
5-2 defeat. Joel Colwill and Fin Johnson on the score sheet.
I know it's not all about results at that level, but, bottom of the table, won 1, drawn 2, lost 4, -10 goal difference - not great.
Bit of a thumping for the under 21s, finished 5-2 to Ipswich.
In mitigation, it does seem a very young squad this season.
