Re: A very modern football match or as old as the hills?
The game confirmed a few things.
We are not great at home we just had a run of the bottom teams to play at home at the start of the season.
We are very reliant on Collins and have no cover, hopefully addressed in January.
We have no Cover for NG.
We need a better quality Striker.
Grant is a little bit underrated by our fans, we missed him yesterday too.
Kieffer, Ramsey, and O'Dowda will make a huge difference, as will the other potential signings.

I'm sure you've read this, probably the only football book among hundreds of thousands that looks how tactics developed.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View Post
The 4-2-4 and 4-4-2 are much older that people believe.
Re. last night I thought whereas many games illustrate just how far this squad has come, the game showed just how far we have to go. In the 2nd half especially, they crowded us out giving our player in possession little time or space - something which our moderately-skilful players desperately needed. Defence was solid as usual but I was right behind their goal and Runnarson should def. have saved it. He was too close to his near post and the ball dipped and he seemed to dive over it.
