Lille are looking to hijack Cardiff City’s swoop for Valerenga striker Andrej Ilic and could put more favourable terms than the Welsh side on the table.
Nothing is done until it is done!
It could easily be a Freanch agent connection, just trying to screw a few more bob, like when an estate agent says there is someone else interested in a property they know you've just fallen in love with, when it truth it's just some tyre kicker booking a viewing to have a nose around.
Another transfer to Cardiff rumour from the start of the month (when still believed in transfers!) that can be put to bed:
Ipswich Town have signed striker Ali Al-Hamadi from AFC Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old has agreed a deal with the Tractor Boys until the summer of 2028 after scoring 17 goals in 29 appearances for the Dons this season.

Hardly a move that screams Premiership ambitions for them, but I guess if he scores one goal that helps them get there they will be saying it’s worth it.
Wonder if we were in for him given we seem to be paying twice as much for someone else unless we are gazumped - obviously at this stage Ipswich a better proposition but be interesting to know if we have lost out to someone else - if so this would be another message to the owners and leaders of the club
Turnbull from celtic linked. https://www.skysports.com/ipad/liveA...#liveblog-body
We are after David Turnbull from Celtic according to this:

Cardiff City have made contact with the Hoops as they look to lure the Scotsman to Wales before the end of the transfer window on Thursday.
Turnbull, 24, has made 19 appearances in all competitions during the first-half of this season, 16 of which have come in the Scottish Premiership, and he has scored seven goals.
Sky Sports claim the Bluebirds are in for him now though as they aim to get a deal over the line for him before the deadline.
.
His contract at Celtic expires at the end of this term and he is due to become a free agent in the summer. The Hoops risk losing him for nothing in June if they don’t cash in on him now.
The Scotland international, who has made five caps for his country to date, rose up through the academy ranks at Motherwell.
Blackburn Rovers have lost out to Cardiff City in the pursuit of Liverpool defender Nat Phillips, according to the Daily Mail.
Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City have both been chasing centre-back Phillips this month. The 26-year-old is back with parent club Liverpool after a premature return from his loan with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

Celtic fan comments on both are not very inspiring.
