Both got unbeaten double centuries - we’re surely not going to lose this game, but our truly abysmal record against Middlesex in Cardiff makes me grateful we aren’t at home because we’d probably find a way of cocking it up if we were.

couple of quick ones. theres hope

    Re: GLAMMY

Surprised to see the start delayed due to wet outfield as the sun is out and it's lovely in Cardiff. So much rain recently though, must be a groundsmans nightmare. Hopefully they're dried out by the 11am inspection.

Shame to see miles has been recalled from his loan. Pace bowling attack looking very lightweight

    Re: GLAMMY

Poor day for Glamorgan on a pitch which is turning already, the trouble is Crane and Carlson (who played our best innings by far) were bowling three half trackers an over when it was our turn to bowl.

    Re: GLAMMY

Decent morning, kept it tight and took 2 wickets. Harris bowled some good lines and crane looked good. Not sure what's up with McIlroy. Doesn't say he's injured, but he hasn't bowled

    Re: GLAMMY

Glamorgan get a first innings lead as Crane takes four wickets.

That was a really encouraging bowling day for glammy, admittedly with helpful conditions. But you still have to use them. But really need to build a good lead. This partnership is crucial. Isn’t cricket a great game. 335 not out at lords to first baller this week.

Agree on this partnership, and this innings being crucial. Looks like positive results are going to be at a premium this year in div 2. Good innings here and we're in prime position for the first win of the year.

Very true on Northeast. What a leveller the game is. From a purely selfish point of view, I bet Carlson for top runscorer this year, so I'm not too disappointed to see Sam miss out for a couple of rounds !

Very poor run out from Ingram, could well cost us the game.

Such a shame, especially in a low scoring game. Lead just passing 200, reckon 250 would give us a decent chance? Crane seemed to be turning the ball round corners in the first innings

250 we win it, although tomorrow could be a washout weather wise.

212/6, the wicket appears to be flattening out to become the usual Cardiff fourth day road.

Fingers crossed for the weather. Cooke and Southgate playing fantastically here

    Re: GLAMMY

Lead 319 now. Surely Derby dont get that in 4 sessions?
    Declare at tea?

It’s time to have a go at them.

    Re: GLAMMY

Guess they're gonna see in Cooke can get his.ton before declaring?

  17. #5567

    Re: GLAMMY

339 lead now. Batted on to let Cooke get his ton I assume?

    Edit- nope still batting.

The 1000th first class century by a glamorgan player just scored by Chris Cooke.

Quiz- who can name the other 999?

    Re: GLAMMY

Another win for the dead Sophia Gardens pitch - only five wickets fell on the last two days of the game and one of those was a night watchman.

Only 1 positive result after 2 rounds of matches in both divisions. 17 draws out of 18. Thrilling.

The Aussie ball they’ve been using hasn’t helped mind.

why the feck are we using the b100dy thing?

    Re: GLAMMY

A delayed start at Northampton, they’ve only just started and Glamorgan (with their latest loan signing, Hampshire’s Brad Wheal), are batting.
