Great Tunes Not Usually On Your Playlist

Never in a million years would have I expected you to post this! It's a decent tune, not her best.

That whole Steve 'Silk' Hurley sound from the early 90s is the reason I got into dance music. He'd developed a unique sound and this featured on dozens of tracks and remixes. I'll raise you the following

I used his riff from Ce Ce Peniston's 'We Got A Love Thang' for a studio project in uni to do a cover version of Sussudio. Got a first. I presume the marker wasn't familar with Hurley's work. My all-time favourite remixer and producer. David Morales comes a very distant second.

I’ve had this on my playlist for yonks. Listen to it at least once a month. Usually when I’m driving.

We will walk and talk in gardens all wet with rain

I will never ever grow so old again

I will ride my chariot down your streets and cry

Me I am dynamite and I don't know why

23 when he wrote and performed astral weeks

Absolute genius before he went all religious

He was living in pontcanna in the 1990s

Silk Hurley. Yeah same for me too. I like dance, metal, glam rock, rap, punk and New Romantics.

Generally don’t do pop but I did like New Order and Pet Shop Boys. But house, deep house, Nu-Disco and Soulful House is what I listen to most.

For today I nominate Cathy Dennis and D-Mob. Possibly the only red head I would jump on top of. Gorgeous voice

This live performance is outstanding and quite surprising, as I thought they only existed inside a recording studio. I know they had one hit way back, but they have never been on my radar.
