Only two Leicester players and Ruddy in goals?

This thread has a misleading title as NG wasn't in the EFL Championship Team of the Season. Indeed, several of those players weren't.

The real EFL Team of the Season is here:

    https://www.efl.com/news/2024/april/...of-the-season/

This is WhoScored's Championship team of the season. And it doesn't include the division's top scorer, which is a bit stupid.

What if you preferred WhoScored to the EFL ? Its all about opinions.

Care to comment on his achievement then considering you didn’t rate him, or is that’s what this is all about I bet your swede is scrambling

NG has done well this season. I don't rate him highly, but he's definitely steady mid-table Championship material these days. He still cheats and play-acts from time to time, which I despise, but that element of his game does appear to have reduced this season, which makes him easier to like from my perspective.

His 'achievement' in being named in a team of the year by a website is nothing to write home about, though. Especially as they reckon Ruddy is the best keeper in the division and they don't think the guy who finished top of the Championship scoring charts by six goals is worth a place in the team.

    The BBC also.

Copying this post or copying the EFL tweet? Either way, it sums up the standard of football journalism in this neck of the woods these days. Which is absolutely dreadful.

The standard of journalism full stop is simply not good enough. ITV is trending on X at the moment
