Can't remember Trevor coming on the field. Thought I would have done because my dad was a friend of Trevor Ford ( he was the insurance agent for the city players for many years).
Mind you it is now nearly 56 years ago!
As we are talking about Snooker and Trevor Ford in the same thread, Snooker played a prominent part in the illegal payments that Trevor Ford received at Sunderland which resulted in him being banned. The Chairman of Sunderland used to challenge Trevor to a frame of snooker for a bet of £100 and, as part of the arrangement, the Chairman would lose everytime. Not an insignificant sum for the early 50s.
