The Labour manifesto is probably going to be pretty bland.

The Tories would have to have some astonishingly good ideas in their manifesto to stand even a tiny chance of getting close.

And from what Robert Preston said,MP's were still discussing manifesto ideas this morning.

There could be a lot of midnight oil burnt in no 10 and Conservative Party Headquarters in the next couple of days!

    Sunak is a geek

And it seems his announcement was a disaster

On another day he seems to be a fairly decent if detached fella with not much awareness

But compare him to Boris, Truss , Braverman , Patel who are odious in most peoples opinion

Do you mean have moderate policies in the manifesto and then get more radical afterwards?

No I mean don't say too much so the tory press can't start nonsense

On the same day that Police are told to make fewer arrests - because for the last 14 years we haven't built enough prison spaces. Two major new prisons were put on hold because of badger sets on site. So our streets will be even less safe, but a few mangy badgers will be. Ain't life grand.

Seems like a very bad time to call it

I am hoping he's done it knowing he's lost and wants to see so many of his backstabbing crew like braverman , Truss etc lose their seats

    Revenge and all that
Im not so sure about that
    Inflation down,
BoE suggesting that the next meeting interest rates will fall again.
    Unemployment down
Small boats policy solution now a deterrent

All Sir Keir has to do now is match the policies and spending commitments, not sure he has the bollox - but you never know.
Angie needs to sort her council house address pretty soon and Gething needs to start opening up his bribery scheme to the general public - he could make a fortune...

    Am surprised by today's news.

The reality is that the last four years have been very difficult economically. Nearly all of that has not been caused by the govt, although of course an argument can be made they made it worse or whatever, but the reality is that the news this year is, and will be, better than has been the case.

I'm surprised they aren't waiting til early autumn for more of that to feed through, whilst still benefitting from any general feel good factor that summer brings.

Are you joking? Apart from consistent rising bills, mortgage payments have rocketed. Perhaps you don’t have one.

Jon Curtis seems to be predicting a leathering for the conservatives

Just getting them out of office would do for me

I do have one. What's your point in response to the point I was making?

The likes of Braverman need to be voted out.

    Not fit for Parliament.

I think given the ineptitude of starmer and the labour party's form for screwing it up I am starting at the foot of the mountain
