Thread: BBC Political Bias

  1. #1

    BBC Political Bias

If anyone still thinks the BBC are anti Conservative I would suggest watching a re run of tonight's news night with Victoria Derbyshire

She was straight into the labour guest Jonathan Reynolds, asked him questions and talked over him when he tried to answer them and couldn't have been more pro tory if she tried

Her and Fiona Bruce are dreadful

    Re: BBC Political Bias

Doesn't sound like the strongest evidence. Asked him questions? Dreadful.

She does that to everyone on Newsnight btw.

I watch the BBC all the time. Victoria Derbyshire does that. She was interviewing him on Newsnight, I guess that's what you meant?

He didn't answer her question and she probed. Hardly pro -Tory, just journalism.

Things will get far worse than that

Sorry, I read what you originally wrote as "the news"..and perhaps she did a special on that as an election was called.

I did watch Newsnight on catch up. Her interview was nothing out of the ordinary at all. Don't be such a baby.

    It's newsnight

That's what I was clearly referring to

I have no idea what you are talking about

It really surprises me that you as a raving tory in the face of a clear hatchet job on a lefty which proves yet again the fallacy of commie bias .......come back with utter bollocks that the interview was acceptable

She threw questions at him and started shrieking before he even had a chance to answer

She's a raving tory and always has been

Loads of tory creeps in the BBC ........always has been

It's great that you are always on here as it shows you up as being as moderate and as nuanced as Alan Bastard

    You just can't help yourself

You’re not saying she actually asked him questions! I’ve seen Victoria Derbyshire give many a Tory politician a hard time on Newsnight and other programmes, why shouldn’t she, and others, not do the same with Labour Party representatives?

No it was far worse than that

I am saying she was way over the top with a Labour mp yesterday to the point of psychosis

And that the long held view that the BBC is anti tory and pro Labour is complete nonsense

    He handled her well though

Although we often are on different sides of the political fence, I can normally see where you are coming from, and the BBC does have issues representing all views etc but I really dont think you are on to something with this example at all tbh. I watched it I do get annoyed when politicians aren't given time to answer questions but that's really not what happened here, she just did her job, reasonably well tbh

You appear to a other one of those social comedians who offer absolutely nothing to society, so use this board to give you some kind of platform, what would you do if this board disappeared bro, hang around the bus station ?

She dishes it out to both sides.

I may be wrong but Derbyshire has always struck me as being an actual journalist.

Kuennsburg and Robinson on the other hand...

That's the woke, Labour supporting Beeb for you.

    Re: BBC Political Bias

‘The beeb is so left wing it’s laughable, it’s ingrained into everyone working here, god forbid anyone that thinks labour and socialism doesn’t work. You would get shouted down’ - that statement came from someone I go to the gym with who is a very quiet conservative and dare not give his opinion in public because of the bullying from his work colleagues
He has been saying that ever since Ed milliband was leader

Hilarious, how on earth did someone like this ever get a job at the BBC then?

    https://www.thenational.scot/news/24...-role-renewed/

I'm on the left politically, but I think that, broadly speaking, the BBC does a difficult job as well as can be expected given the pressure they are put under by Conservatives and Labour when either of them are in Government.

    The irony

I think you have used this board to push your insane conspiracy theory nonsense and you offer people out when they take the piss

You have done this several times in the last few weeks alone

    You are potty

I saw one of your discussions going that way a few days ago and tried to bring things down a bit

But that would have ruined your platform as you say

Well if the wet blanket at the gym says it then I am sold.

'Im bullied for being a conservative' is so anti conservative values that it's hilarious. The first people to tell him to grow a pair would be actual conservatives.

Recently the director general and his side kick were Tories

One stood for election for tge tories the other donated to the tory party

It's a complete myth that it's biased towards labour

I don't think they are biased towards any party. But I do think there is a middle class liberal bias within the BBC and that most people that work there have often different views to the population they serve

    I agree James.

Dick Sharpe subbing Boris 800 grand isn't what your normal man on the street would do.

Take on board the comments bro ….you might learn something. The last big thread you tried to make a fuss about made you look a a little attention seeking nerd , which is what you are.If you want to discuss things further don’t hide behind a keyboard, there’s a good little boy.

You could argue with your own reflection.
