Never been to Benedorm but Benidorm has everything for a good break, the mad new town with some decent turns, the lovely old town with its charming side streets. Lovely beaches etc, perhaps millions of holidaymakers are wrong.
Liverpool is a marvellous weekend away, vibrant night life, lovely waterfront, in touching distance of the centre, unlike Cardiff. Interesting varied museums, great hop on, hop off bus tours.
You need to get out more……..keep to the speed limit though, speed kills!
You wouldn’t have seen much life on a day trip to Benidorm, the new town doesn’t liven up until the evening, the old town would be the best bet for a day trip. Brilliant shopping areas, if you like that sort of thing, wonderful little tapas bars, Malpas beach is up there with the best. Benidorm can be anything you want it to be, olde worlde Spanish or in your face wildness. The Palm Sunday procession from the church overlooking Malpas beach and the choirs on the beach itself are a sight to behold.
Liverpool is a great weekend away, the areas we go remind me of old Cardiff. Pubs full of older clientele, reasonably priced beer, entertainment in nigh on every establishment and not a pick of bother anywhere. No doubt there are dodgy areas but that’s the same the world over.
