Surprised by a some offered a new contract, particularly Evans (although pleased) and Antwi. I can't see the logic of Antwi because how deep we are, in numbers, in central midfield. He will be behind King and Colwill jnr who I fear will also struggle for game time.

Kieron Evans will be on **** all. He did alright at Gateshead, He'll act as a cheap squad player, and if he does manage to turn in a few half decent performances, nothing spectacular, then the club could get a small fee for him. Worth a (cheap) punt i suppose.

Guess the thinking on extra midfielders is they can be more flexible in defensive or attacking positions.

Tuerto has it right on Evans, low cost and low risk and always a chance he kicks on a level.
I suspect Antwi is here to provide an older "ever present" in the development side, I doubt he is seen as getting anywhere near the first team.
