Thread: Next tory leader?

    Next tory leader?

Hard to think who is going to take up the mantle in what ill likely be a difficult few years.
And one who isn't too tainted by the disaster of the last 14 years.
I guess Kemi Badenoch is probably in with a shout, with Suella Braverman an option for hte right of the party

I'd give it six months there is no rush to get it right, the selections have been like Dalman and Tan have been doing it for the last 10 years or more years.

Braverman would try to win back all the ship jumpers lost to reform.

She's hated, a toned-down Farage as Conservative leader would win the next election easily, the blue/red wall is easily influenced with a bit of flannel.

She will do an electoral pact with farage

So labour , liberals and Plaid and snp need to stop poncing about and form a coalition of the centre and left

We are pissing about trying to educate reform voters

They are on planet nuts 🤪

He doesn’t do ‘toned-down’. It’s not in his make up. Just appeals to shouty thick bastards.

I don't see them winning the next election easily - the public will remember how badly they've messed everything up

She’d be the end of the Conservatives, they’d sink lower than now. I can’t think of a more detested politician

    Indeed

He shouts about zero immigration then flags off labour about possible tax rises and broken promises

    He's a snake oil salesman

    Re: Next tory leader?

Is the Tory system still for the MPs to get the candidates down to a final two - then hand over to the membership to vote?

I have no idea who is left standing amongst Tory MPs (Braverman, Badenoch and Hunt probably the highest profile left?) but when they hand it over to the members they are likely to go for the one that sounds most like Farage - however stupid that is.

I have no idea, but they should really take their time. I don't mean months and months, but just take stock, show some humility and go from there.

I think Kemi Badenoch would be very interesting

Mostly but he could tone it down and a lot of the average people seem to really like him.

Mr Bean is the only person who could replace Rishi Sunak.

Jeremy Hunt will probably try for it.

None of the current crop will win the next election. Every one of them is tainted. They'll need to do a Cameron makeover again.
